support America and Our New President

Whether you voted for President Obama or not is irrelevant now. It is a moot point. We are ONE and it's time for Americans to get out of this recession, support our President, and move forward. To say that we are at a crossroads in the United States would be a gross understatement. It's up to us, the American People, to sink or swim. There is strength in unity, so let's support America 100% and here's how.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Committment
  • Resolve
  • Determination
  • Volunteerism
  1. Step 1

Stop talking and criticizing, get out and take action. As the adage goes, "put up or shut up." You can start in your own community by volunteering. There are myriad subdivisions throughout America that are in dire need of volunteers, including your own neighborhood. If you see some work that needs to be done, don't wait for a meeting to be called, just do it. When one person starts it ignites the volunteerism in others.

  2. Step 2

Make a commitment to help your local schools succeed. Typically the schools don't openly ask the community to help, but you can make a major difference with the schools in your community just by being there to help out in any capacity.

  3. Step 3

If you clearly see where your church is falling short, if you clearly see your church is more interested in the construction of that new wing or the new building write a letter to your pastor voicing your concern. Take it upon yourself to deal with it or find another church. Doing nothing makes you part of the problem and not a part of the solution.

  4. Step 4

Buy America! Do what you can to help stimulate our economy by purchasing American products. America is a melting pot, and we're a country who welcomes all, but we are struggling financially as a nation, so it's essential that we invest in America. It's tantamount to your personal finances; if you're struggling financially within your own home; you're not going to go out and put money into someone else's home, are you? Well, it works the same way, except of course on a larger scale, with our Nations Economy.

  5. Step 5

Stop speaking ill of our youth. Stop putting down our young people with your disparaging words. These deleterious words become affirmations and some of our youth live up to these negative epithets. The media, coupled with harsh words from thousands of others, creates a negative energy that is not helping. Of course our youth are responsible for their own behavior, along with their parents, but try being kind, rather than harsh, and see what type of energy kind words produce.
