Make Money on eBay Selling Items from Kroger

Kroger supermarkets can be a treasure trove for finding inventory to resell on eBay, especially if your Kroger has a large health and beauty department. Big box supermarkets like Kroger are constantly offering newly released consumer items and resetting their shelves. Something has to be removed to make room for all the new stuff. That is where the markdowns come in.

Instructions

Step 1

The next time you visit a Kroger supermarket, glance around the aisles. You will see big white tags (markers) on the shelves below items that are marked down about half price. The tags usually say "closeout item."
Step 2

Look for closeout items in cosmetics, pharmacy, health, dental, beauty, and weight loss sections.
Step 3

Examples of some good closeout products to buy and resell include teeth whitening kids, anti-aging products (creams, serums), weight loss products, vitamins, high end cosmetics, specialty skin creams, and acne products.
Step 4

Make a note of any of the items on clearance. Check the free eBay research tool, Terapeak, for the price on completed listings. (See the resource section below for more information about exactly how to use Terapeak.)
Step 5

You may want to consider selling these items in a batch or lot. Research how other sellers are offering their products and what your potential profit can be.
Step 6

Consider using coupons to make the closeout items even cheaper. For example, For example, there was recently a $5 off hair color coupon for a close out item that only cost $6.25. I went on eBay, bought quite a few of these $5 coupons for about $1 a batch, and then purchased several boxes of hair color for only $1.25. I sold the hair color in lots and made a nice profit.
Step 7

If you do not have a Kroger loyalty card, you may want to get one. The Kroger supermarket loyalty card offers discounts on products you purchase.
