Things You'll Need:
- Baseball Bat
- Cork
- Drill
- Sand paper
- Wood plug
- Wood stain, pine tar, or markers
-
Step 1
Drill a hole into the top of the bat about 6 - 8 inches deep into the bat. Depending on how you will cork the bat determines the diameter of the bat. Typically, a 1" diameter hole is sufficient
- Sawdust, styrofoam, or superballs may also be used in place of cork to fill the bat - -
Step 2
Remove wood fillings from the drilled hole.
-
Step 3
Fill the cork into the drilled space. Compact the cork into the space as tightly as possible. Leave enough room for a wood plug to be inserted.
-
Step 4
Glue a wood plug into drilled hole.
-
Step 5
Sand the area down.
-
Step 6
To conceal where the bat has been corked, use wood stain, pine tar, or even a marker that is the same color of the bat.
