Instructions

    • 1

Mix 1 cup of warm water with a drop of soap-based cleaner in a bowl. Moisten a soft rag in the soap-based cleaning solution.

    • 2

Rub the rag gently over the pen-marked leather, lifting as much ink as possible. Always rub with a clean portion of the rag.

    • 3

Dampen another rag with warm water. Using the rag, wipe the leather to rinse off the soap-based cleaning solution.

    • 4

Examine the leather furniture for lingering pen marks. If any ink persists, moisten a clean cotton ball with isopropyl alcohol.

    • 5

Rub the cotton ball lightly over the stained leather to dissolve the remaining pen marks. Replace the cotton ball once it becomes ink-stained.

    • 6

Dampen another rag with warm water. Using the rag, wipe the leather to rinse off the isopropyl alcohol.

    • 7

Wipe the damp leather with a plush towel until the furniture is completely dry.

    • 8

Restore moisture to the previously stained portion of leather using a leather conditioner endorsed by the furniture manufacturer. Apply the leather conditioner directly to the leather, coating the leather completely.

    • 9

Buff the conditioned leather with another soft rag until the conditioner dissolves.
