Step 1
First of all, find the 'tools' tab. Depending on which version of IE you have, it will either be in the top right corner directly underneath the 'X' that closes the program, or it will be somewhat in the top left near 'file'. Once you open the Tools, scroll down to 'Internet Options.'

Step 2
Internet options is where you can change all sorts of different properties relating to IE. You can change your homepages and how tabs work, and you can also delete your browsing history and cookies. Directly underneath where it says 'browsing history,' there should be a delete button. Again, it depends on your version.

Step 3
Once the new window pops up, look near the bottom where it says 'delete all.' This will remove any cookies and saved websites that have been downloaded to your computer as well as your browsing history. Make sure you check the 'delete all offline content' box, as this removes saved pages that slow down your computer.
