      Take a walk. Walking just 1 mile a day burns 100 calories. Park your car farther away in the parking lot and burn calories as you walk to and from your car. Go for a walk at lunchtime instead of reading the newspaper at your desk. If the weather outside is bad, walk around the inside of your building.

      Take the stairs. Skip the elevator and take the stairs to your office. Walking up and down the stairs for 10 minutes will burn 100 calories, which is 10 calories a minute. Assuming it takes you a minute to climb a flight of stairs, you can burn 10 calories per flight. If you spent 20 minutes of your lunch hour climbing up and down the steps, you would burn 200 calories.
