Things You'll Need:
- Burlap apparel
- Vacuum storage pump and bags
-
Step 1
Clean and dry any burlap you wish to store completely before you store it. Any organic residue you leave on the surface will provide a perfect breeding ground for insects.
-
Step 2
Avoid folding the items, if possible. If you find that you must fold an item, try to fold along already existing seams. In any case, fold as little as possible.
-
Step 3
Place the burlap apparel in a clean vacuum sealed type bag. Then pump out the air.
-
Step 4
Store your burlap in a cool, dry environment. This can be difficult to achieve around the house, where conditions can vary with the weather, so climate-controlled rental storage is a possibility if you have lot to store. If you only have a few things though, you might want to place them in the coolest, driest part of the house.
