Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a double-size flat sheet from your local department store that will match the look of your bathroom. If you find a patterned sheet that will match your décor, you won't need the ribbon. If you find a plain sheet, pick up some coordinating ribbon to add to the curtain to give it some interest. You'll need several spools of ribbon. Don't worry about buying too much unopened, as it can be returned to most stores and excess ribbon you can use to add special touches other places in the bathroom. The ribbon should be at least as wide as the stitch witchery.

    • 2

Remove the side seams from the sheet with the seam ripper. You're going to hang your new curtain through the top of the sheet where the biggest hem of the sheet is, so only remove the seaming from the top of the sheet to the end of the hem.

    • 3

      Press and hang the curtain.

    • 4

Pin up the bottom of the curtain to the height you want it once you've got the curtain in place.

    • 5

Remove the curtain from the curtain rod being careful not to knock out any of the pins.

    • 6

Using an iron and following the instructions on the stitch witchery package, hem the shower curtain to your desired length.

    • 7

Decide where you'd like to place your ribbon and attach it to the curtain using the stitch witchery. Along the edge of the fabric is probably the best place for the ribbon.

    • 8

      Hang the curtain.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be very careful about following the instructions on the stitch witchery to make sure the hem and ribbon will stay in place.
