Rubber Band Ball
Rubber Band Ball

This is a fun project and is something that you can start today and have fun with it for years to come. The more rubber bands you add the larger the rubber band ball gets. Maybe you can break the world record of the largest Rubber Band Ball?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Rubber Bands
  1. Step 1
    Crumpled Paper
    Crumpled Paper

First take a peice of paper and crumple it up into a round ball to be used as the core. The paper can be new, old, or something out of the trash. You can even write a secret message on it before you begin, only to be revealed if the Rubber Band Ball ever becomes unwound.

  2. Step 2

Next you need a small pack of rubber bands so we can get the starter ball created. You can pick up a small pack of rubber bands at your local office supply store for about $2. Begin wrapping rubber bands around the paper core. Make sure you use different colors and different width bands to make your rubber band core more realistic looking. Once you have enough rubber bands wrapped to completely cover the rubber band ball core you are done with this step.

  3. Step 3

Now to make your Rubber Band Ball larger just continue to add rubber bands. And keep your eyes open for rubber bands, as you can get them free everywhere. Check your mail, sometimes the mail carry will deliver your mail wrapped in a rubber band. Also if you see someone at home or work remove a rubber band from something, ask them for it. You can also ask your neighbors to save them for you as well. In no time your Rubber Band Ball will grow in size.

Tips & Warnings
  • As your rubber band ball grows, you will need to tie two(2) rubber bands together to get them to wrap over the larger ball.
