Step 1
Save MoneyDecide when to play golf. Play late in the evening. Many golf courses offer discounts on twilight golf or all you can play after a certain time golf. Never, ever play on holidays, any holidays or weekends. This is when the weekend warriors play and it is the most expensive time to play golf.
-
Step 2
Save MoneyDecide where to play. Check out public and state owned golf courses. Check out winter discounts and all coupons. Investigate the internet for all courses in your zipcode. Also, check publications that are in the Pro shop for monthly coupons to save money.
-
Step 3
Save MoneyWalk, don't ride in golf carts! Golf can be a very stressful game. But if you walk, and don't ride, you can enjoy the beauty of the course without the stress. You can take your time and enjoy every aspect of God's beautiful outdoors. This way, one can enjoy golf, save a little money, and be realaxed.
-
Step 4
Save MoneyDo not spend a lot of money on clubs without first investigating ebay and craigslist and your local newspaper. Ask around in church and community clubs for 2nd hand golf clubs. This way you get to try a variety of clubs so you can know which set handles well and which set to avoid.

on 1/22/2009 I wanted to learn how to golf. I know it can be an expensive habit, but it looks like fun.
