Valentine's Day treats bought in a store are sometimes expensive due to the "holiday" inflation. Why not make your own treats! Read on for this easy way to make a romantic home-made treat!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hershey's chocolate bar
  • Fresh strawberries
  • wax paper
  • saucepan
  1. Step 1

Take the wrapping off of the Hershey's chocolate bar and place it in the saucepan. Melt it over medium heat.

  2. Step 2

Once the chocolate is completely in a liquid state, you are ready to dip. Hold your strawberry by the green leaves at the top and dip it in the melted chocolate. Dip it so that the chocolate almost reaches the top of the strawberry. Leave a little space between the leaves and the chocolate so that the red of the strawberry shows.

  3. Step 3

Place it on a piece of wax paper to cool. When it cools, it will not stick to the paper and you can remove it easily.

  4. Step 4

Finally, eat and enjoy! Or, if not ready to be eaten yet, place it in the refridgerator for a later time. The refridgerator will keep the chocolate from melting and preserve the tasty little treat!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add a tiny drop of mint extract (or other flavors) to the chocolate for a delicious taste!

on 1/22/2009 Also, if you don't have wax paper, use tin foil. I sprayed some PAM on the shiny side of tin foil and there was no stick!

on 1/22/2009 I just made these again last night and I chopped up some roasted almonds. Then, after I dipped the strawberry in chocolate, I rolled it in the chopped almonds and let it harden. Delicious! Put the strawberries in the refridgerator to cool and harden once the chocolate is on it.
