Things You'll Need:
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup of butter flavored Crisco
- 1 1/4 cups of firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup of pecan pieces
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of salt
-
Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter flavored Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla. Blend all of the ingredients until creamy. Blend in the egg. Combine the flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture.
-
Step 2
Gradually stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. I like to add very small amounts at a time and mix. Continue doing this until you've added all of your semi-sweet chocolate chips and pecan pieces.
-
Step 3
Drop rounded spoonfulls of dough 3 inches apart on an ungreased baking/cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies.
If you prefer crispier cookies, bake for 11-13 minutes.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes.
Move to a cooling rack.
Makes 3 dozen, 3 inch cookies.
Send the kids to grandma's so you can have them all to yourself!
