Making organic baby food carrots for your little one is very simple. If you follow these steps you will be able to provide your child with delicious homemade baby food in less than thirty minutes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

  1. Step 1

First you need to purchase a bag of organic carrots. I usually get a two pound bag.

  2. Step 2

Rinse, peel and cut the carrots into three pieces. If you are using baby carrots you do not need to cut them.

Place the pot of carrots on the stove and bring to a boil. Allow carrots to boil until tender when poked with a fork. Usually 15 minutes is sufficient.

  5. Step 5

After the carrots are cooked allow them to cool for about five minutes.

  6. Step 6
    Processed Carrots

Allow the carrots to freeze over night and then remove them from the ice cube tray. Place carrot cubes in a ziploc bag and return to the freezer.

  9. Step 9

Thaw the carrot cubes as needed. Serve to your baby and delight in knowing you have provided a healthy serving of organic carrots to your little one.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always store the cubes in a Ziploc Freezer bag for best storage.
  • Cubes can be freezed for up to 2 months.
