Things You'll Need:
- Carrots
- Water
- Pot
- Stove
- Food Processor
- Ice Cube Tray
- Aluminum Foil
-
Step 1
First you need to purchase a bag of organic carrots. I usually get a two pound bag.
-
Step 2
Rinse, peel and cut the carrots into three pieces. If you are using baby carrots you do not need to cut them.
-
Step 3
Place the carrots in a pot and cover with water.
-
Step 4
Boiling CarrotsPlace the pot of carrots on the stove and bring to a boil. Allow carrots to boil until tender when poked with a fork. Usually 15 minutes is sufficient.
-
Step 5
After the carrots are cooked allow them to cool for about five minutes.
-
Step 6
Processed CarrotsPlace the carrots in your food processor and blend them until they reach the consistency your child prefers. For thinner carrots for a young baby add a little water as you process them. For thicker carrots simple process with no additional water.
-
Step 7
Ice Cube TraysSpoon the carrots into ice cube trays and cover with aluminum foil.
-
Step 8
Allow the carrots to freeze over night and then remove them from the ice cube tray. Place carrot cubes in a ziploc bag and return to the freezer.
-
Step 9
Thaw the carrot cubes as needed. Serve to your baby and delight in knowing you have provided a healthy serving of organic carrots to your little one.
