Things You'll Need:
- phone that accepts bluetooth
- computer that can send bluetooth
-
Step 1
Be sure that you have blue tooth capabilities on both your phone and your computer. Do not assume that both devices have bluetooth capability, because they may not. Be sure that both bluetooths are are discoverable to each other so that you can attempt a connection.
-
Step 2
Turn on the bluetooth on both devices and wait a few moments for them to activate. On a Mac computer, you can go to "finder", and click on "utilities" and then "blue tooth file exchange".
-
Step 3
Clicking on the bluetooth file exchange will activate the blue tooth technology. You will be prompted on how to choose the file you wish to send. Follow the prompts to send your file.
-
Step 4
Depending on the type of phone you have, you may need to accept the file in order for your phone to receive it. Save the file to the location of choice. It may be possible that you don't have complete bluetooth capabilities, in which case you may need to purchase bluetooth accessories as an add on to enable either your phone or your computer to transfer bluetooth files.
