Impress At a Job Interview
Impress At a Job Interview

First impressions last the longest, so the first impression you give on a job interview may be the most important part. Heres how to get that job!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be knowledgeable of the company and what they do. This way you can get a better idea of what they're looking for in an employee, and also keep from looking like a shmuck who doesn't know anything about the place he/shes applying.

  2. Step 2

Dress nice and smell good. I don't mean go overboard on the cologne or the rings, but be tasteful. Go to an interview fresh out of a shower, people who smell clean indicate good personal hygiene, always a plus. Don't forget to fix your hair, no baseball caps or messy buns!

  3. Step 3

Give a good handshake and confidently introduce yourself. This is important in making a good first impression. You want to send the message that you are confident and fit for this job. Don't forget to smile and speak loud enough to be heard.

  4. Step 4

Ask a question or two about the company or the job, but avoid questions like "How soon can I get a raise" or "how many vacation days do you offer". Instead, ask something like "What are the most important elements people have found in being successful at this job?" or "Is the company currently doing any expanding?" This shows that you are truly interested in the job or the company.

  5. Step 5

Don't forget to thank your interviewer very much for their time, and tell them you look forward to hearing from them.
