Step 1
Hire a student to deliver your printed newsletter at the doorstep of your target audience. If your target audience includes homeowners or apartment dwellers, this one is a no brainer. Use a plastic cover which contains a doorknob whole. Plastic covers help protect your newsletter from dirt and wet weather.
-
Step 2
Use bulk rate mail to deliver your newsletters. Bulk rate allows you to pay less than the first class rate but does not cause an excessive delay in distribution. Contact your local post office for current rates.
-
Step 3
Distribute your newsletter electronically. Many newsletters are distributed in the form of e-zines. This can be a huge money saver. You will need a built-in audience who has opted in to receive your newsletter. If you don’t, you are in danger of your email being labeled spam which can greatly damage your online presence.

Step 4
Partner with an advertiser to share distribution costs. You can piggyback on her current method of distribution if you share the same target market. The advertiser may wish to be included as an insert in your newsletter in exchange for shared costs.
