Wanting to make cheerleader? Here are some simple steps to boost your chances.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Practice, practice, practice. I know it sounds old, but the first step is nailing the routine so well that you could do it in your sleep. Then you will be able to add all of the stuff that will make you stand out to the judges without having to worry about forgetting the routine! Don't forget to also practice spiriting, know exactly what you're going to do and practice things to say going in.

  2. Step 2

Jump! Everywhere! Especially in front of a mirror. Jumps are one of the most important parts of cheerleading, and the more you do it, the more muscle you'll build up, and the better your technique will be. Not to mention, the better your legs will look ;). Practice pointing your toes, and landing softly on your toes with your feet together.

  3. Step 3

Smile as you practice your routines. One of the main things the judges are looking for is personality, and a big smile will show them that you are confident and entertaining. So show some teeth!

  4. Step 4

Be loud and confident. Very, very loud and confident. Don't shriek, but project. And act like you belong doing it.

  5. Step 5

When getting ready for tryouts don't forget to style your hair cute, even add a ribbon. Apply some extra blush and lipstick too! Judges don't like to see faces without color.

  6. Step 6

Finally, rock the routine! Smile, have fun, jump, yell! Assume you already are a cheerleader, and go in acting like one. Be confident and energetic!
