You will learn how to deal with the emotional stress of losing your job.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Faith
  • Patience
  • Will
  • Determination
  • Family
  • Friends
  1. Step 1

All good things come to an end-even that perfect job you've had for years. Where there's an end, a new beginning awaits. Have faith.

  2. Step 2

This is the time to decide whether you want to move on to a new career path or seek out employment in your same field.

  3. Step 3

Stap on your boots and pound the pavement. Don't be discouraged if it takes a while to find a new job. In the mean time, check all of your resources including family and friends. They can aid in your search.

  4. Step 4

If you have a mountain of bills, limited funds, and you're still unemployed, it's time to sit down and assess your main priorities. We all tend to stress when the money isn't there and the bills keep coming. The key to relieving that stress is knowing what you can and cannot control. Now is a good time to communicate with the land lord, mortgage, credit card, light, gas company etc., and work out reasonable payment arrangements that you can afford until you're back in the workforce.

  5. Step 5

Don't give up. Good things come to those who wait. Don't be quick to take a job you know you hate. You won't last. Know what type of job you want and search in that particular field. In time you will find that diamond in the rough.

    Good Luck!

Tips & Warnings
  • It's a good idea to register with temporary agencies in your area.
  • Don't be afraid to call up an employer and speak with Human Resources about current or future job openings.
