The most valuable aspect to gaining someone's trust, however, is spending time with them. They will have to know that you appreciate their company. Enjoy your time with them and make it count!

3. Be there for them during their tough times. If something tragic happens in their life you will have to be the shoulder they can cry on. If a person knows that you've been through the worst with them, they will be more willing to trust you.

4. Never lie to them. Always keep honesty your main priority. It's easier to damage a friendship with lies and lose their trust altogether than it is to keep their trust. Know that complete honesty is always the way to go.

5. Share your own thoughts and feelings with them. By opening up you will help encourage them to open up to you as well.
