      Preheat oven to 350 degrees

      Melt the butter in the 9"x 13" glass baking dish in the microwave. Depending on your microwave this should only take about 30 to 45 seconds.

      In a large glass or metal bowl mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and milk. Mix them well using a wire whisk. The batter should be smooth with no lumps.

      Put the batter in the 9"x 13" baking dish. Spread batter evenly in the baking dish with the melted butter.

      Put the sliced peaches on top of the batter evenly spaced.This should be in a decorative pattern for a more beautiful cobbler.

      Bake the peach cobbler at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. The batter will look puffy and the peaches will have a golden brown color to them.

      Take the peach cobbler out of the oven and let cool for 30 minutes.
