Step 1
First you'll need to have a business plan. There are many resources online to help you write your business plan. If you do a google search, or yahoo search, you'll be able to get ideas and help in making a business plan. There are many sites that specialize in helping you create the perfect plan.
-
Step 2
Next you will want to decide whether you will want to run this business online. If you do want to run it online, it may influence the name of your business. Find a domain name seller, and check to see if the name you hope to name the business is available if you were to purchase it.
-
Step 3
You will need to get a DBA for your business. Go to your county clerks office and file the necessary paperwork to have your "Doing Business As" certificate for the name you choose. Basically they will check their records to make sure no other business exists in your county with the name you want to use for your business.
-
Step 4
After filing the necessary paperwork for your DBA, you will take that paperwork with you to the bank and open up your business checking account.
-
Step 5
Look around and create your marketing plan. Will you be marketing online? Will you need to purchase business cards (Always recommended no matter what you are going to do), pamphlets, or postcards? Whatever you decide that you need to market your business, you should get now.
-
Step 6
Once you receive your marketing materials, start marketing your business. Contact people that will be your customers, and tell them what you have to offer.

on 1/29/2009 Good ideas on how to start just about any business. It is important to have a good business plan and to register your business as required by your state and county. Thanks for the information.
