Things You'll Need:
- a deck of playing cards
- chips, change or a piece of scrap paper and pen (for practise)
-
Step 1
When the dealer shows an ace, ALWAYS pay for insurance.
-
Step 2
Choose a low number and a high number. These are the two betting amounts you will be using throughout the game.
-
Step 3
Start your first hand with the low number (table minimum) as your bet. Play the minimum until you lose a hand.
-
Step 4
As soon as you lose a hand, bet high.
-
Step 5
If you bet high and win, go back to betting low and continue betting low until you lose, then bet high again. If you bet high and lose, still go back to betting low until you lose again and then bet high again.
-
Step 6
If you bet low and tie the dealer, then bet high and continue with the above system. If you bet high and tie the dealer, bet low and continue with the above system.
-
Step 7
When you are showing an eleven, always double your bet if the dealer is showing a six or less. If you are showing an eleven and the dealer is showing a seven or above, and you are dealt a low card, then you will, of course, lose double your original bet.
-
Step 8
If the dealer is showing a six or less, and you are dealt two of the same card, always split your cards to double your bet. The exception is if you are dealth two ten point cards, in which case, it is worth sticking on the 20. If you are dealt two aces, always split them, no matter what the dealer is showing. If you are very conservative, you might also not want to split nines, as 18 is a pretty good number when the dealer is showing a six or less, but I would still split the nines in this case.
-
Step 9
Choose a reasonable amount that if you win, you will walk away from the table, i.e. cash in your chips. If you play any betting game at a casino long enough, the casino will always win.
