How to Become a Work at Home Agent

Have you been looking for a legitimate work from home job, one that will actually pay the bills and is not a scam? Then, becoming a work at home agent might be the answer you have been searching for!

We always hear about customer service jobs being outsourced overseas, but they are also outsourced as at home customer service jobs. It is cheaper for many companies to have employees or independent contractors perform work at home customer service functions than to have them in the office. Read on for some great tips on that work from home agent dream job!

   Review your resume and cover letter. Just because you may earn money from home does not mean that you can be any less professional. Plus, the competition may be even stiffer for work at home agent positions.    Begin your home based agent search online. This may be a bit overwhelming and you have to be on the lookout for scams. You may try googling phrases such as "work from home agent" or "work at home customer service." I would also encourage you to search Craigslist. There are also many work-from-home forums which offer lots of advice and reviews. Check those out--they are a wealth of information. 3. 

   Take your time and apply to every work at home agent position that you may qualify for. Be sure to read the requirements of the position. Some companies want you to train on site, and some have computer requirements. There are even companies that require you to purchase a noise canceling headset to wear while on the phone. These do not have to be expensive and I have listed a few in the Resource section as well. Plus, since you will soon earn money at home, you will have less expenses.

4. 

   Treat your work at home agent job search as a job. The more time and effort you put into it, the better your results will be. Work from home customer service jobs are out there, you just have to find them!

• Some companies may require you to pay for your background check, this is a legitimate expense and usually averages about $35 or so
