Throw a Super Bowl Party

The Super Bowl is more than a sporting event to some people. To make your gathering memorable without breaking the bank:

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Host a chili cook off. Sports fans love to compete. So ask guests to bring a pot of their favorite chili and you supply the fixins, such as cheese. Make ballots and offer a fun prize. Serve the chili in large mugs so guests can walk around and hold it while watching the game.

  2. Step 2

Predict the outcome. Have everyone write down who they think will win and what the final score will be before the game starts. Award a silly prize to the person who comes the closest.

  3. Step 3

Play halftime hot potato. Pretend a football is a very, very hot potato and pass it in a circle just like you did as a kid. When the music stops, the person holding the football is out. Last one left in the circle is the winner.

  4. Step 4

Tackle trivia. Testing your armchair quarterbacks on how well they know the game is a great way to liven up your party. You can find all the facts you need for free at funtrivia.com - choose category: sports.

Tips & Warnings
  • Place a radio or extra television set in the kitchen so that those serving food don't miss a single down.
