Prepare to stumble many times before you get this down. It is one that takes practice and determination. Patience and a calm stance. You will be training muscles to hold you in this position that don't usaully work this way. So give yourself time.
Make sure that you pay attention to your core. It is in the center of your body that you will find balance and strength. Start with eyes open and hold one foot up while standing on the other. Practice this for awhile until you feel comfortable.
