Why pay a barista to make gourmet coffee or an espresso drink such as latte when you can make a perfect cup of coffee in the comfort of your own home, office, RV, or anywhere! Bialetti Brikka is my choice. Call it a coffee maker, or an espresso machine; there are many on the market for under $50.00. Don't pay hundreds of dollars for an espresso maker.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Moka Pot or Bialetti Brikka
  • Quality Coffee - Starbuck's, Peet's or any other gourmet coffee
  1. Step 1

Making that perfect cup of coffee starts by purchasing a good quality moka pot. There are many makers and styles out there. Bialettishop.com is a great place to start your search. I chose the 2 cup Brikka; this model is a stove top espresso machine that has a patented valve, allowing pressure to build and creating rich creamy coffee.

  2. Step 2

Don't compromise on the quality of coffee; you are already saving plenty by making your own coffee. Experiment on the coffee roast. Dark roasts such as espresso and french roasts are fine, but the light roasts taste great also. Good filtered water is a must.

  3. Step 3

Season your Brikka or moka pot. The first several cups of coffee can be thrown away. Never wash your Brikka or moka pot with soap, just rinse it out after each use.

  4. Step 4

Be your own barista. Make your favorite latte, mocha, caffe americano, or any other variety of coffee drinks anytime!

Tips & Warnings
