Step 1
When trying on a pair of shoes make sure there is a centimeter between the toes and the end of the shoes. This makes them plenty big to grow into but not too big to trip over.
-
Step 2
When buying the toddler shoes make sure the shoes have a solid arch suport for the child. This allows neccessary support for running and walking
-
Step 3
Make sure the toddler shoes are easy to get on and off before you buy them at the store. Your toddler will be putting them on and off repeatedly as shoes are a new experience for them
-
Step 4
Keep the toddlers toenails trimmed so the shoes you buy don't rub against the nails and cause an issue. This will also save you buying a lot of socks and tights too.
-
Step 5
If possible, avoid buying flipflops for the toddlers feet. Doctors have found excessive use of this type of shoe hurts the ankles and could cause ankle issues.
