Things You'll Need:
- Vinegar
- Toothbrush
- Towel
-
Step 1
Check to make sure the hardware (bolts) on top of your board is tight so the vinegar doesn't run down into your trucks. This could cause rusting. Pour some vinegar onto the surface of your board staying away from the hardware. Not a lot but enough to spread on the board. An 1/8 to a 1/4 cup is usually perfect.
-
Step 2
Use the toothbrush to scrub the entire board. I've used a Tide Spinbrush and it works great. A manual toothbrush works just fine. Just be sure not to scrub too hard. You don't want to tear it or pull it up.
-
Step 3
Dry the board by laying a towel over the top and pressing down allowing the towel to soak up the excess. Do not rub! Allow the board to dry before skating on it usually about 10-15 minutes.
-
Step 4
Go skate!
