Make a Paintball Ghillie Suit
Make a Paintball Ghillie Suit

Ghillie suits can be very expensive, but making your own can be very easy!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scraps of old camouflage and dark green, black, and tan/brown cloth
  • Sewing machine
  • Old pants and shirt, Military BDU's work best, Trench coats are also good bases.
  • Black Thread
  1. Step 1

First cut the old camouflage cloth into about 6 inch long strips, vary the width of the strips from 1 inch to 3 inches. Once you have all of your old cloth cut into strips, separate them by color if you used solid color cloth, if you used camouflage, you don't need to do this.

  2. Step 2

Set up the sewing machine with the black thread, if you are unsure of how to use a sewing machine, find some one who is good with them to help you with the sewing.

  3. Step 3

Sew the strips to the old pants and shirt, alternating the colors so that there is absolutely no pattern to them. (A pattern will be easy to pick out in the woods) Cover the entire shirt first, as this is the most important part, the pants can be covered so that they are not as thick for ease of movement, but remember, the more strips you sew on the better you will be able to conceal yourself!

Tips & Warnings
  • Similar items can be made to cover your air tank, hopper, and gun/barrel. You can even make a hat or hood to put over your paintball mask!
  • Always be careful when using sewing needles!
