How to Cook a Hot Dog With Two Nails

Its easy to cook a hot dog without a mess and using two nails.
1. Hammer 2 nails thru a board a little less apart than the length of a winnie.
2. Remove 1 1/2"in. of the insulation from an old lamp cord and wrap each wire around one nail as tightly as you can. Twisting the wires will help to make it tighter. Doesn't matter if you wrap the wire around the top or bottom of the board. If you leave the head of the nails protruding about a half inch for the wire to be attached and then hammer the nails down tightly this will make the best connection.
3. Now this is important! place your hot dog on to the nails. Just stick 1 or 2 winnies on the nails before you plug it in.
YOU CANNOT PLUG THIS IN UNTIL THE WINNIES ARE ON THE NAILS FIRST. YOU WILL GET SHOCKED IF YOU TOUCH THE WINNIE OR NAILS AFTER YOU PLUG IT IN!
4. Now plug it into the electrical outlet and watch how the winnie starts cooking immediately.
5. Once it is cooked to your liking UNPLUG THE CORD FIRST and then take the winnie off. Carefull it will be hot!!

YES ITS THAT EASY TO DO.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • (2) - #16 OR #8 nails with a head on them.
  • (1) - old electric lamp cord.
  • (1) - board approx. 6"X8"X1/2" "plywood works best"
  • (1) - hammer
  • you will find it easier to predrill the holes for the nails to be just a little bit smaller than the dia. of the nails.
  1. Step 1

Drilling 2 holes in board a little closer together than the length of the winnie you are going to cook makes it easier. Make the holes a little smaller in diameter than the nails you are using so it will be tight enough to hold the nails.

  2. Step 2

Wrap the wire around each nail tight as you can and twist it to help tighten.

  3. Step 3

Hammer nails thru the holes so that the wire is tight against the bottom of the board.

Tips & Warnings
  • Place board on a non conductive surface, or just place wide tape over the head of the nails to help insulate the bare wires.
  • You will also find it handy to first place a napkin over the nails onto the board to help soak up any grease dripping that may come from heating up the winnie.
  • ALWAYS WAIT TO PLUG THIS IN UNTIL YOU HAVE PLACE THE WINNIE ON THE NAILS!
  • YOU WILL GET A SHOCK IF YOU TOUCH THE WINNIE OR THE NAILS AFTER YOU PLUG IT IN.
