Step 1
A man must first Commit to being Great Father in his own home before he can commit to the community. A Great father is a man who has a great relationship with his children and serves as a role model teaching and modeling proper values. A Great Father loves and respects his children and communicates with them.

Step 2
A man must show this same kind of commitment to the children of his community. When a community sees a man who is a role model based the values he lives by this is very important. The positive effect and benefits multiply once that man of values begins to have a relationship with the children in the community. He talks and listens to the kids. He may even mentor one or two. But, in all his relationships with the children of the community he show love and respect while modeling integrity

Step 3
A man must be involved in his community. This could be at church, in a community organization, volunteering at a school or even politically. There must be some community activities. This makes a man noticeable and accessible. What good is a role model that no one knows, sees, or has access to. We all must be available to our community.

Step 4
All men must realize that they do have a commitment to our community. It does take a village to raise a child. The village that we have today many times is rejecting its responsibility to one another. When we ignore these responsibilities we get a village that no one wants to be a part of. The responsibility to be our brothers keepers belong to all of us. Those athletes, actors, entertainers, politicians etc in public view also have a responsibility to be positive role models for our community. Please step up to the plate and accept your responsibility.
