    Always give them compassionate care. Elderly people whose suffering from these types of problems need your patience and respect. They need your care but not pity. They don't like to feel how pathetic they are. Even if they can't hear you, don't shout. Do not use slang language or terms. Don't baby talk them. Always remember that elderly people has a very sensitive feelings.

    Don't think that because an elderly who are impaired in one or two areas, the whole body parts are impaired as well. Don't make assumptions about their abilities and limitations. Always remember that they don't want to be treated like impaired. If you're helping an elderly, tell him or her about the things that you will do, step by step.

    Elder people who are suffering from hearing and vision problems has preference too. Always remember that they have right of choices and always ask how you can help them more often.

  4. Step 4

    Always respect and give them their own privacy. They always want to have time of their own. But, make it sure that you are not far away from them.
