Having trouble getting that pesky wine stain out of your favorite article of clothing? Follow this easy remedy to eliminate the stain for good.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cold water, ammonia, white wine (for red wine stains)
  1. Step 1

If you spill red wine on your clothing or furniture do not panic. Attempting to remove the stain in an improper manner could result in the spreading of an unsightly blotch.

  2. Step 2

Obtain some white wine and pour it on the location of the red wine stain. This will prevent the red wine from leaving a discoloring mark at the site.

  3. Step 3

Wash or scrub the area of the red wine stain with a mixture of cold water and ammonia. Be sure to only use a small amount of ammonia for safety concerns.

  4. Step 4

If the red wine stain is on a piece of clothing just rinse with water and run it through the laundry. If the stain is on your carpet or furniture rinse with a cloth or towel.

  5. Step 5

For white wine stains just follow steps 3 and 4.
