Things You'll Need:
- Time
- Work Attitude
-
Step 1
Visit your local hospital. Ask at the desk whether they offer CNA classes or not. If they do not, there is a good chance that they can refer you to a local program. Hospitals are always looking for extra nursing assistants as their frequency is low. The first place that you want to look is at a hospital because they almost always offer CNA classes.
-
Step 2
The second place to look would be a retirment community. There are usually one of these in every city. The size of these communities are based on the size of the town and almost always need assitance. If the retirement community is big enough, they will offer CNA classes. Typically, certified nursing assistant classes cost a few hundred dollars.
-
Step 3
Finally, if you can't find a place that offers CNA classes than you can try a local college or university. Ask the main information desk whether they offer cna classes. Typically, this would be your last resort as there isn't any direct contact with patient care.
