The main areas of lodging for fly fishing trips are Cotter, Mountain Home, Eureka Springs and Heber Springs. The main streams are the White, the North Fork of the White and the Little Red.

In palnning Fly fishing trips do you want to only book a guide or do you want a package of lodging, food and guide service? This can be handy for anglers from other states. There are some beautiful lodges and Bed and Breakfast in the trout fishing area that cater just to fishermen. Check them out as they can be in some breath taking locations. Expect to pay an average of $275 per person for a bed and breakfast.

Rates for Fly fishing guide service average one half day for two people, $240 to full days of $350. A nice touch to a trip is a cooked dinner on the river which can range an extra $50 - $100. I recommend this extra!

Decide what size or trout you want to fish for on your fly fishing trip. Beginners may want to start on the trout that have just been stocked and then move up.

The dry fly action is best from the middle of March to September.

Check on week day rates as opposed to weekend. Also winter specials. Fly fishing trips have different rates for different times of the year.
