Have a Fun Wedding Reception

Have you ever set through an awful wedding reception? Did you loathe the two hours of speeches? Thankfully people are now looking for more "fun" ways to have a reception. Read below for 5 tricks on how to liven up your wedding reception.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Consider having your photos taken before the wedding so you can spend more time with your guests. If you do not want to see each other before the wedding try to get all the family shots, groomsman shots, bridesmaids shots, etc...out of the way beforehand.

  2. Step 2

Make sure there is plenty of food and beverage available to give your guest energy and lessen their inhibitions.

  3. Step 3

Break up your timeline. Don't make you guest sit through 2 hours of speeches, have speeches sprinkled throughout the evening.

  4. Step 4

Have a variety of music and activities available. Dancing is a great ice breaker but if you are having an outdoor reception consider having games set up as well.

  5. Step 5

Mingle with your guests. Spend time thanking them for coming and letting them know how much you appreciate them sharing in your special day.
