Things You'll Need:
- Sudoku puzzle
- time
-
Step 1
First off solve the puzzle how you usually do it. When you get stuck this is my strategy to solve.
-
Step 2
After you place all the easy numbers in the boxes, now we go to possible answers. In each box write a possible number that could be there, write them small cause you might have a few possible answers.
-
Step 3
Ok after we have all possible answers written in all the boxes, we now start from row to row. Scan the first row with the first number you are looking for, lets say the number 1. Ok if the number one appears more than twice on possible answers in that first row then we go to the next number. Lets say we get to number 5 and we scan that row, there is only one 5 listed as a possible answer in that row, well there you go, that is your number that you are looking for. Ok now that we have an answer of 5 in that row we now start to eliminate the number 5 from possible answers on that row and block. Erase all 5's in that row and block.
-
Step 4
Scan each row side to side and then top to bottom in this method. Also scan the individual blocks of 9 numbers in the same method. If you only have one possible number in a block or row, then that is the number.
