Things You'll Need:
- Fresh cut flowers
- Sink
- Water
- Vase
- Garden scissor
- Floral preservative

Step 1
Cut the stems diagonally with a clean and sharp garden scissor. Allow the flowers to have adequate stems.

Trim off the leaves from the stem, and remove-spent blooms.

Fill your kitchen sink with room temperature water. Add preservative to water. Swish the water with your hand to make sure that it preservative dissolves.

Step 4
Flowers in sinkPlace your fresh cut flowers in the sink. Leave the flowers in the sink for 30 minutes. The water will perk up your flowers for a fresh cut appearance.

Step 5
Fill your vase with room temperature water. Add a half teaspoon of floral preservative.

Step 6
Arrange your flowers and enjoy your floral display.
