How to make a perfect Blue Hawaiian

Having a tropical theme party? Gotta make these Blue Hawaiians. Your party will rock with these. Aloha!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Chill the highball glasses in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Check to make sure that your freezer does not have any bad smells in it. Get your blender all cleaned up and ready to go. Get the cherries and pineapple slices onto a plate or into a bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Blend 1 oz. Bacardi light rum, 1 oz. cream of coconut, 1 oz. Blue Curacao, 2 oz. pineapple juice, and 1 cup of ice. Blend until of uniform consistency. You want a creamy misture.

  3. Step 3

    Slowly pour entire blended mixture into one of the highball glasses. Garnish by dropping a cherry and a slice of pineapple into the drink (Some bartenders will put both onto a fancy toothpick, but I prefer it this way). If you like, float a bit of 151 onto the drink.

Tips & Warnings
  • I have made this drink with 1/2 oz. Bacardi Amber Rum and 1/2 oz. light rum in place of the 1 oz. light rum. Just a bit stronger this way.
  • Add a bit more cream of coconut for your guests who prefer a lighter drink.
  • For a unique twist try one of Malibu Rum's flavored types.
