Angina attack is an acute chest pain or discomfort felt in the chest area because of reduced blood flow to heart due to narrowing of the arteries. Angina could also be caused by an increased demand of blood supply for the heart, blockage of artery, or thickening of heart muscles. It can causes discomfort, sudden pressure, tightness, heaviness or squeezing pain in the chest area. This article will explain home remedies for angina.

  1. Step 1

    To prevent an angina attack, do the following:

    Eat healthy and well balanced meals, quit smoking, exerce regularly and be physically active. It is also advisable to lose weight in case of obesity

    Treat existing disorders that may lead to angina like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and other heart related conditions.

  2. Step 2

    Avoid eating cholesterol rich food. Instead, consume light vegetarian foods like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

  3. Step 3

    Some nutrients that are beneficial to prevent and control the onset of angina is Vitamin A, C and E. Although it is better to get these from foods, you should also take supplements.

  4. Step 4

    To rebuild the heart naturally or if you're suffering from chest pain, do the following. Pinch the end of pinkie finger on your left hand for 30 secs. Move down to the padding under the little finger and massage for another 30 secs. Then move to fleshy part of the palm for another 30 secs.
