Lake Havasu City may get hot in the summertime, but that just makes the lake more inviting. Enjoy waterskiing, swimming, and other water sports where the skies are blue and the air is fresh. Lake Havasu is the city with a lake view and it is a reasonable drive from Southern California. You can stay at one of the many motels (link in resources) or rent a vacation house and have the entire residence to yourself!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine your needs. Private vacation properties include houses, condos, townhouses and mobile homes. Some come with swimming pools, some will allow pets, some are close to the launch ramps and some have views.

  2. Step 2

Take a head count. How many people will be using the vacation rental home? How many beds to you need.

  3. Step 3

Consider parking needs. Do you need a vacation rental that is large enough to park your boat or RV?

  4. Step 4

Contact a real estate office in Lake Havasu City Arizona. (Link in Resources). Many local real estate companies have property management companies. Some handle summer vacation rentals, and some do not. If the company can’t help you, ask for a recommendation of another company. They are a small town and most will be willing to help you.

  5. Step 5

Don’t destroy the vacation property. Remember, the house belongs to some individual or family. It may be intended as their future retirement home. Treat it with respect.
