Things You'll Need:
- Moisturizer
- Liquid or powder foundation
- A small container
-
Step 1
Choose a moisturizer for the base. When choosing a moisturizer, the right one for your skin type should go on without feeling greasy. There are different moisturizers for all skin types, including dry, oily and combination, among others, so keep this in mind as you shop.
-
Step 2
Pick a foundation. You can use any foundation you like, including powder or mineral foundations, but liquid foundations mix with the moisturizer better.
-
Step 3
In a small container with a lid, mix a small amount of moisturizer and foundation together until well blended. The foundation will tint the moisturizer, but you control how much color goes in.
-
Step 4
Using your finger tips or a sponge applicator, gently dot the tinted moisturizer onto your skin and rub in gently using small circular motions. For extra coverage, apply a small amount of plain foundation over any visible blemishes and then use the moisturizer.
-
Step 5
Store in a cool, dry place. Discard any leftovers after a week and make a new batch as needed.
