The french braid is widely known but not everyone knows how to do it. Maybe you can braid your hair but you want that extra pizzazz by french braiding it. Well it's a lot easier than it looks.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Starting the french braid can be challenging. Practice often to master this easy technique.

  2. Step 2

Start by brushing out your hair a few times to make it smooth. Put a little pomade on your hands and run through your hair. This just makes the hair a little easier to handle and helps with fly aways.

  3. Step 3

Grab a section of hair at the crown of your head (about 2 inches) and seperate it into three equal parts. Take the right piece and cross over the midle piece. Take the left piece and cross over the middle piece. Hold the braid tight and use your fingers to keep the strands seperate.

  4. Step 4

Take a section of hair from the right side of the head and add it to the right piece. Cross it over the middle section. Grab a piece from the left side and add it to the left piece. Cross it ove the middle piece. Make sure you pull tight.

  5. Step 5

Continue doing this all down the head. When you reach the nape of the neck there will be no more hair to add to the sections. Start a regular braid all the way down. Secure braid with hair tie and spray with hair spray.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you comb your hair to get out all the tangles and whisps.
  • You can comb each section of hair before you add it into the braid to make sure it is very neat.
  • All you need to do is practice practice practice.... this is very easy and if you don't get it on the first try, try again.
