It is very difficult to get anything done around the house when you have a baby to take care of. Here are a few tips on how to make it easier to clean up without neglecting your little one.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First of all, Put your baby first. If the baby needs something, forget about the dishes or the clutter. Baby comes first.

  2. Step 2

Wear your baby if possible in a snugli or sling. Babies love to see the world from your point of view so if you've got an older baby, face him/her outwards in the snugli and go ahead and vaccum, sweep, mop or do laundry.

  3. Step 3

Speed cleaning. If you get some time while baby is napping (or if you can have someone hold him/her for you), or if he/she is occupied in a swing, walker, baby seat etc. Take just 15 minutes at a time and focus on one part of the house. (Ex. Kitchen, table, counter, family room, bedroom, bathroom, office. ) If you do this you will be amazed at how much you can get done in such a little amount of time.

  4. Step 4

Involve your baby in your cleaning. While folding clothes, sit baby next to you. Play peek a boo with a towel, etc. (if you sit him/her on a bed or any elevated serface, stay in arms reach. Babies move quickly and can topple down in a matter of seconds.)

Tips & Warnings
  • Never use any chemicals or cleaning products around your baby. Inhaling these can be dangerous and even fatal.
