How to Make a Yummy Chocolate and Banana Pudding Pie

Quick and easy, this recipe is reminiscent of chocolate covered bananas, one of my childhood favorites! Children and adults will love this recipe so be prepared to make it often!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 graham cracker crust or regular pie crust baked
  • 2 pks instant regular or sugar-free vanilla or banana pudding mix
  • 2 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 bananas sliced
  • 4 oz semi sweet chocolate use squares or 4 oz chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or substitute margarine)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Cool Whip or whipped cream topping
  1. Step 1

    Heat chocolate with milk and butter on stove top (med heat) or in microwave until chocolate and butter is melted. Stir and watch closely as to not burn chocolate.

  2. Step 2

    Pour chocolate mixture into your favorite prepared pie crust and refrigerate until chocolate is cool and set, about 20 minutes or more.

  3. Step 3

    Remove pie from refrigerator top chocolate with banana slices. Prepare pudding mix to use a pie filling as directed on packages. Spoon evenly over chocolate and bananas in pie shell. Cover pie with foil, plastic wrap or pie plate cover. Return to refrigerator until well set.

  4. Step 4

    When ready to serve, top with cool whip or whipped cream. Add 2-3 fresh banana slices and perhaps a mint leaf for garnish to each serving, if desired.

  • This recipes serves about 8 people.
  • Beware! If you love chocolate and bananas.. you are going to love this recipe!
