Make a Valentine's Day Card Holder
Make a Valentine's Day Card Holder

This is a really easy Valentine's Day craft that is meant to hold Valentine cards that are received. These are great to use in a classroom if there is going to be a Valentine's Day party. Each kid can make their own unique holder a few days ahead of the party.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • pink, red, and purple construction paper
  • scissors
  • glue
  • paper lunch sacks
  • heart stickers
  1. Step 1

Cut two large individual heart shapes out of the construction paper. The large hearts need to be around the same size as the front of the paper sack. Your goal is to use these hearts to not only cover the front and back of the bag, but to also increase the sturdiness of the paper sack itself.

  2. Step 2

Glue one the front of the paper sack. Then glue the second heart on the back of the sack. You can vary the position of the heart as you desire, because the size of hearts will differ. You might like the heart tilted 90* and having the bag opening on the side instead of at the top. Experiment with it, this is creative project.

  3. Step 3

Next, cut several more hearts out of the pink, purple, and red construction paper. These hearts should be a lot smaller, roughly the size of a silver dollar.

  4. Step 4

Glue these hearts all over the bag, including the blank sides.

  5. Step 5

Add your heart stickers to the rest of the bag and whatever else your heart desires!

Tips & Warnings
  • use scissors that make a pattern when you cut it adds more character!
  • glitter and glue are always fun!
  • be careful with the scissors!
