This article will give you steps and tips on how to clean a plasma television screen. Cleaning a plasma screen should be approached differently to the old Tube screens with the standard glass fronts.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make sure you read up on the owners guide, some Plasma screens will come with a special screen coating and may require specific products or technique to clean them.

  2. Step 2

Purchase a lint free cloth that is soft, they typically will be micro-fiber. You can pick them up at any good electronic store. Also make sure you buy some specific plasma screen cleaner, it’s typically a mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol.

  3. Step 3

Unplug your screen from the power before cleaning. Spray the cleaning solution onto the cloth not directly onto the screen. Make sure you do not apply pressure when wiping the screen, the dust and dirt should loft off just by lightly pressing the cloth against the screen.

  4. Step 4

Only use a soft dry lint free cloth when cleaning, any other products like tissue paper can scratch the surface.
