Step 1
Visit fastweb.com (link in resources section below) and create a free account.
-
Step 2
Update your Fastweb.com profile. You’ll have the opportunity to complete sections on personal information, academic information, college preferences, and privacy preferences. Not all information is required, but complete as much as possible. Fastweb will use this information to provide you with information on scholarships that match your personal circumstances and preferences. So being as thorough as possible when filling out your profile is to your advantage.
-
Step 3
While completing your profile you will find a question under ‘Academic Information’ that asks: Is the student interested in attending an online college? While this is an optional question, make sure you answer ‘yes’.
-
Step 4
Once you’ve completed the profile, go to the Scholarships and Colleges sections of the website. Here you will find matches based on the information you provided in the profile. Some of the scholarships returned may be specifically for online colleges. Others may be scholarships that may be used at any school, including online colleges.
-
Step 5
Further investigate the scholarships that were matched to you by clicking on the scholarship name. This will give you more information about the scholarship, including a website if one is available. Use the information to further determine if the scholarship is a good fit for you. Make sure to research what restrictions, if any, are placed on using the scholarship at an online college.
