Have you heard about the popular Internet phenomenon (or 'meme') called Rickrolling? You send your friend a link, claim it's related to your conversation or interests, but when they click it, they are redirected to the music video of singer Rick Astley performing his hit song 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. This article will tell you everything you need to know about pranking your friends and enemies.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When talking with a friend over AOL Instant Messenger, type out a link or text. This is fake, so make it look like something people will want to visit! Type in 'Cool new game', or 'www.yahoo.com'. You can also do this over email or another IM program.

  2. Step 2

Before you send it, select the text, then click on the picture of a chain in the bar above the text window. That is the 'Edit Hyperlink' button.

  3. Step 3

Change the URL to www.Internetisseriousbusiness.Com, and keep the descriptive text saying the fake address or text. This way, the link will show up to your friend as whatever descriptive text you type, but clicking it will send them to the popular Rickroll site.

  4. Step 4

Then send the link, and wait for your friends to realize they've been expertly Rickroll'd!

Tips & Warnings
  • This will probably only work once per friend, so enjoy your success!
