Things You'll Need:
- Airline tickts or plenty of gas and a good car to cross the desert
- Plenty of spending money
- Boots and cowboy hat are optional
-
Step 1
The NFR is held each year at the Thomas and Mack arena on the campus of UNLV. Become familiar with the arena, negotiations for tickets happen very fast. You can ask the ticket broker where the seats are in the arena, but ultimately its up to you to know where you may be sitting.
-
Step 2
Pick the night(s) that you want to attend. Each night, the rodeo is basically the same format. Monday and Tuesday nights are typically the least expensive. Expect to pay 100.00 or more per ticket on Friday and Saturday nights. Also, the hotel casinos are much cheaper Sunday through Thursday nights.
-
Step 3
Plan on arriving at the Thomas and Mack at least an hour before the rodeo begins. Be on the lookout for ticket brokers that are asking for buyers and sellers of tickets. Don't be shy; if they don't approach you, approach them. Be courteous when negotiating. At first, you may not be able to agree on a ticket price, but you may be meeting up with him or her later.
-
Step 4
Be friendly with people sitting next to you. Rodeo fans are very loyal. You never know, you may be sitting next to a family member of a contestant! Have fun, you're at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas!
